18-8 Stainless Steel All Metal Locknuts are a Hex nut with a crimped thread on top to lock the threads on a bolt to prevent from backing off. Also referred to a Stover Nut or Crimp Locknut. Use in a high heat application instead of a Nylon Insert Locknut because the nylon will melt.
