I've never used an inverted flare before, but this fitting doesn't have much depth. It was my oversight because I needed a regular non-invert flare. It's only 5mm from the flare protrusion to the beginning of the threads, and 6mm total depth. Unfortunately I can't use it because it only catches one thread. This was the only 1/4 SAE to 1/8 NPT F-F adapter I could find. Otherwise, it a solid, inexpensive fitting, and Fastener Warehouse shipped it insanely fast.
